« The Sleeping Beauty in the Woods »

From the 2nd to the 31st of December, the famous fairy tale of Charles Perrault will be adapted in an exhibition form inside the keeps of the castle. This event is a part of the “Hivernales” of Falaise.

The artist of the project is Celine Azorin, an illustrator, and is assisted by Vincent Trefex and the staff of the castle. This is an original creation that transforms the castle into a mysterious and wondrous place.

Some of the elements of the installation will be crafted with the Vis-à-vis company and the IME of Falaise.

The usual tour will be modified for the duration of the exhibition and the rooms will feature projections, silhouettes of characters, furniture and musical effects dramatically accompanying the key moments of the tale.

From room to room, from passage ways to staircases, our visitors will enjoy this famous tale by episodes, from the curse of the old fairy and the awakening of the Princess until the epilogue of the story. The magical spirit of the tale will be enhanced by the mysterious settings inside the castle...
