The medieval festival takes place
on each first week-end of July,
around the cathedral, in a fine
preserved setting, with more
than a hundred stalls, various
local producers and artisans,
sellers of roast meat, street
performers...and a great parade
of people dressed in
medieval costumes.
the Bayeux Tapestry had been
kept in the treasury of the
cathedral for years. The latter
having been consecrated in
the presence of king William
and queen Mathilda on the
14th day of July 1077.
